Pastel Wedding Reception in the Serra Plaza Courtyard

Pastel Wedding Reception in the Serra Plaza Courtyard

After tying the knot at the Mission Basilica, Diane and Wilson posed for photos as newlyweds at Mission San Juan Capistrano while everyone else made their way over to Serra Plaza for cocktail hour. Guests were welcomed into the Courtyard where Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Lemon Parmesan Artichoke Hearts were tray passed and John Collins and Washington Apple Martini signature drinks were being served at the bar. Wilson and Diane arrived shortly after to join their guests for a drink and invite them to take a seat for dinner.

Tables were topped with pastel florals and printed menus at each place setting. Guests checked the seating chart to find their assigned tables and took a seat. The bride and groom shared their first dance in front of their family and friends, then sat at their head table surrounded by loved ones. Toasts started as soon as the first course of Roasted Golden Beet Salad was served. Laughs were shared and some tears were shed as guests stood to share their favorite bride and groom memories. Cabernet Braised Short Ribs and Roasted Atlantic Salmon Fillet with Heirloom Carrots and Gourmet Mashed Potatoes were served last to accompany the final speech. The menu was selected by Diane and Wilson with help from our event specialist, Brittany. After dinner and toasts, everyone continued the celebration inside our Lounge. Kouign Amann desserts were served, and everyone made sure to grab a picture with the newlyweds before wishing them well and heading home.
