Earthen Black and White Wedding at Serra Plaza
Jessica and her bridesmaids were hair and makeup ready inside the bridal suite while Nestor pulled up to Serra Plaza in a vintage car for their first look. With veil secured, Jessica stepped out into the courtyard to see Nestor waiting for her. A tap of the shoulder turned Nestor around and smiles filled both the bride and groom’s faces. The couple exchanged personalized, private vows, then lined up for their ceremony.
Guests signed Nestor and Jessica’s guest book then took a seat outside facing the Spanish fountain. Fresh and dried flowers decorated the fountain and were assembled to create two tall pillars for the ceremony space. As soon as everyone had arrived, the music cued up and the groom and bride made their entrances down the aisle. In front of all their family and closest friends, the couple recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Crab Cakes and Caprese Skewers were tray passed in the lounge and a Poke Station made for a fun, interactive guest experience. The bar was serving up Old Fashioned and Coconut Cream Margaritas, the bride and groom’s signature drinks, while the newlyweds were posing for photos as husband and wife around the venue. The couple joined their guests at the end of cocktail hour, and everyone was invited back outside for dinner.
Tables were topped with black and white details and flickering candles added to the romantic ambiance. Jessica and Nestor made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. A dinner of Zucchini Lime Chicken, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Marinated Vegetables and Pear and Walnut Salad was served. The menu was selected by the bride and groom during their planning process with our event specialist, Brittany. While everyone enjoyed their dinner, friends and family shared toasts. Glasses clinked in the air after the last speech ended, then guests were asked to join the newlyweds back inside the lounge for their cake cutting and dessert. The bride and groom cut into their 2-tiered chocolate cake with raspberry creme filling and invited their guests to indulge in our Latin Dessert Station with an assortment of petit tres leches cakes, mini caramel custard flan, coconut macaroons, dulce de leche chocolate tarts, and Mexican wedding cookies. After cake, champagne flutes were filled with bubbly and guests grabbed a glass to enjoy while dancing the night away. The evening ended with a surprise treat from In-N-Out, and everyone shared their well wishes with the bride and groom.
