Serra Plaza Spring Floral Wedding

Serra Plaza Spring Floral Wedding

Emily and her bridesmaids slipped into their dresses inside the suite at Serra Plaza, then headed to Mission San Juan Capistrano for the first look and group photos. A tap on the shoulder turned Cyrus around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a lace dress. The couple shared handwritten vows, wandered around the Mission for portraits, and posed with their bridesmaids and groomsmen before heading back to Serra Plaza for the ceremony.

The Serra Plaza Courtyard was alive with spring florals decorating the aisle and Spanish fountain in orange, yellow, pink, and blue. Guests signed Cyrus and Emily’s guest book, then took a seat. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Emily. In front of all their closest friends and family, Cyrus and Emily recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss as the crowd cheered.

Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Pear and Walnut Salad, and Mini Al Pastor Tacos were tray passed while guests lined up for a drink during cocktail hour. Pomegranate Lemonade Vodka and Moscow Mule signature drinks were popular picks amongst the guests. Everyone mixed, mingled, and posed for photos in the photo booth so they’d have take-home keepsakes from the special day. As cocktail hour came to an end, guests checked the seating chart and began heading back to the Courtyard for reception.

Colorful floral centerpieces contrasted white linens draped over reception tables in the Courtyard. Emily and Cyrus made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at their sweetheart table for dinner and toasts. Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork, Korean Bulgogi Beef, Jasmine Rice, and Spicy Szechuan Green Beans was served buffet style and guests filled their plates. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Casey. While everyone ate, family and friends stood to share toasts and glasses clinked in the air. After dinner, the newlyweds poured champagne, cut into their lemon cake with stucco frosting design, and invited their guests to indulge in some dessert. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves.
